With the new Massive Attack Ep slowly approaching, I thought it would be great to create a trip-hop themed playlist for this week: Please note a few I had to attach videos with each song due to the essence of the video or because I could not find them on Imeem.
It has come to my attention that A Place to Bury Strangers is about to launch their sophomore album entitled "Exploding Head," how befitting, which will hit stores on October 6th. They are without a doubt the loudest, in a good way, band on the face of the earth. It is no wonder their headline is "pure sonic annilihation" because in all actuality that is what it is. If you have not heard the music this band spits out, then by all means please visit their site. In the meantime here are some videos:
Michel Gondry is one of the most innovative directors in present time. His style is like no other, it is playful yet so experimental. I have posted a few of his videos for your viewing pleasure. See if you can spot the common themes and styles. For a full list of Gondry's movies and music videos please click here. And if you like Gondry's playfulness you might also want to check out Pes Films! Also rumor has it Gondry will be directing "The Green Hornet" due out in 2010.
I would like to start sharing my music knowledge with people of all different races, colors, etc. With that being said I am going to be posting a new playlist every week with a new theme (genre) each week. Enjoy! (To access each song, simply place mouse over artist and song)
